Steve's detailing

has anyone been there before? they're in newport beach and im planning to have them detail my car. However, I'm having some trust issues, they offer to pick up my car in the morning and delivered back to me by noon, they have a good reputation, i give them that, but at the same time, it's my baby and haha i dunno if i should let a stranger drive my car. what do you guys think? should i just go there myself and wait?

I can vouch for John and his company.

I was pretty skeptical at first regarding detailing beyond the local car wash's $60 wax and wash specials - I never saw the need. Then I bought an obsidian black sedan, and keeping it clean became a priority for me.

After reading up on the Care & Detailing section, and seeing pictures of John's work, I figured it was worth a try. Here is my car after he was done with it:

He did a stupendous job on my sedan, the attention to detail was something I never saw firsthand. I learned that local car washes do not come close to a professional detailer's experience and thoroughness. It was definitely worth the money I spent for the detail, and since then I only go to John for my washes and waxes.

Though I highly recommend him to you and all my friends, You should let your eyes decide and take a look at his thread for examples of his work.

Steve's does excellent work and are totally trustworthy. The drivers are all responsible retirees.(I was a general manager there a few years ago, they still do my cars).

most mobile retailers have a tank, pressure washer and generator in there vehicles. the tank is for Spot FREE water- it doesn't leave a white spot after the water dries. this water can only be purchased.
pressure washer- to release and take out all the dirt and grime form edges, inside plastics. lug nuts, and inside rims.
and generator- well pretty much self explanatory.
