turbo G's in socal?
 

i'm wondering about all the socal turbo G's and your trouble with the police.? is there any... if so, what kind?

when i got pulled over recently they made me pop my hood... if this were to happen again and i did have a turbo, what would happen? and if i had a vortech (carb legal) what would happen? thanks!

The cops cannot make you pop your hood. You can refuse.

Course they can impound your car, but that's rather unlikely, as they STILL have to get a warrant to look under your hood, even if the car is impounded.

MOral of the story is don't do anything stupid to get pulled over to begin with.

This is exactly the reason why I got the Vortech. But even with the CARB stamp on the SC, if a cop wants to mess with you, he is gonna do it regardless. :rolleyes:

true but they will get more suspicious, and tag ya for other stuff lol

i've had zero problems so far w/my turbo kit. just like other said above, just dont drive stupid or do anything that will get you pulled

what exhaust do you have? cats?

im running no cats on mine and my exhaust is really loud if you do do a turbo set up i would suggest going with a quiter exhaust to attract less attention ... ive been pulled over 3 times in my turbo g due to my exhaust luckily they all let me go with a warning :biggthumpup: also they never made me pop my hood

custom 3in hks hi-power not loud at all..

hmmm i see... i don't mind paying a ticket or something like that... i do mind paying for the un-installation of the kit. that's all. but i should point out i got pulled over for my loud *** exhaust. not for me doing anything stupid.

That's the problem with a T/TT kit in Cali. If you get busted with it on your ride, you have to un-install it. That's a MAJOR PITA.

so hexxumm001... how do you feel your rides compares to all the evo's srt-4s m3's and mazdaspeed 3's in the socal area?

of course, but ultimately you can't control what the cops are going to do. they can pull you for tint then inspect your car. just luck of the draw i suppose.

fuggen cali cops.. always messing with dumb azz shesils that you have on your car.. my friend got pulled over for having his 3k hid fogs on... lol.. cop said it looked ricy and suspicious... lol.. i was like wtf.. hahaha.. on a bone stock G... come on.. idk..

get black intercoolers for the stealth look.. just loose a bit of HP tho. but they look coo.. IMO..

wish cali wasnt so strick with it... but on the lighter note.. my 1970 mustang with direct pipes and no mufflers just some glass pipes is super cool with cops.. they even give me compliments on my exhaust.. lol.. funny isnt tit.. only reason i was ever asked to pop the hood was so the guy could get some ideas for his project car.. lmao... i was like wtf.. if it was my G.. ticket for exhaust.. tint.. and intake.. lol..
