Sal's Auto Sport in Houston

Much belated thanks to Sal's Auto Sport. I went to them a few months ago to drop my sedan. I had them install 350 Z springs up front and G35 Coupe springs out back with Coupe suspension. My car rides awesome and I love the look of it. Not too dramatic but just enough. Sal is a class act and their service was awesome. Sal and Oscar are great at what they do and I will definately be going back. I'll try and post some pictures as well.

Here's their info in case anyone wants to check them out.

I second that Praise. Sal's did a great job when they lowered my sedan. Friendly Service and very knowledgable. Great job!

I third that. He did my z/g suspension and alignment--could not be happier. And, you drive out lowered to the max, b/c they release the pressure on the suspension, no need to drive it for a few hundred miles to have it "settle". Also had the HKS put on there too.

I've got Tein basics and I am moving to Houston next week. Any idea what Sal would charge me to drop it down to its lowest?

Give him a call: 713-462-8500

You already have them on your car...or you want them installed??

I heard many positive things about Sal's Autosport. I plan to get my fenders rolled there, has anyone had any experience with that there? Does Sal personally do the work or someone else?

Also my car is pretty low. How will this work if they need to raise my car up or get up on the alignment racks? Do they have any special equipment for this?

I guess what it comes down to, is this a shop that I can trust and will treat my car like it was their own? I have had many bad experiences in the past with taking my car to shops so I am just concerned about this. Especially scratching up my wheels, scratching up around the lug holes where the nuts go. Etc.

I had may fenders rolled and they do everything they can to ensure the best job done. I believe it was $50 do oroll my fenders, but I'm not exactly sure, it's been a little bit. Bottom line, Great Quality of work.

hipi2002, thanks for the assurance. Is your car lowered by the way? I'm just curious before I take the plunge if they are experienced in dealing with lowered cars.

Thanks for the reference guys, Sal's was a great little shop and def took care of my car. Gonna get some stuff for my truck there too...haha

Txaaron, nice, glad you they were able to service your car. You got your fenders rolled right? How long did it take, and did they have any problems getting your car on the lift?

I will be doing mines soon as well. Sal seems like a very knowledgeable guy and they have lots of experience with our cars.

Glad to see another satisfied customer. Did you tell them I sent ya?

Brwn5454 Jun 24, 2009 11:58 AM

Sal will have no problem getting your car on the lift. I am on BC coilovers and am pretty low...they will work it out.

P.S. Sal will be uninstalling my N20 and putting on my Vortech kit this next week.

He will be installing:
Vortech Kit w/ GTM Pulley mod
Walbro fuel pump
DW 600cc injectors
Headers
AAM Oil Pan Spacer
Greddy Catch Can
B&M Tranny Cooler

Everyone is more than welcome to drop by...I will be there helping at night (hopefully).

Let him know you heard about it on G35driver!

See you there!

Nice, they were tellin me about your project while I was up there. Should be a nice build. We need to get a Houston meet together sometime soon.

Brwn5454 Jun 24, 2009 12:05 PM

Cool man! I'm sure Sal would let us host a Houston meet at his place...I will talk to him about it this weekend...but if not there, anywhere. Im down for one whenever!

nyckid Jun 24, 2009 09:52 PM

we do have a houston meet, its coming up on july 4th, don't you guys see the thread? will be at memorial park.

check the thread for more details.

Anyways brwn5454 what kind of car do you have? Good to know the reassurance about Sal's. Also do they do any mechanical/diagnostic work? I have overheating issues on my car and would like to have it checked out and fixed there as well if possible.

TXaarron and you never answered me. Since you pm'd me about fender rolling, I replied and suggested you try Sal's. I then ask you how your experience went and did you tell them I sent you. How many times do I have to repeat myself.

TXaaron3232 Jun 24, 2009 10:50 PM

As I said in post #9, it was a great shop and def took care of my car. Yes, I told them that you sent me from the boards. Chill out mayne, no need to get all testy.
