Are you kidding me??? You have the weight for the RB26DETT? I assume that's what under there. There's no way in hell they are even anywhere close. From what I understand, people use the RWD RB25 tranny to make this work. I think anyway.

Oooh, nice..The motor definitely sits much lower than the vq and if it is the same weight then we have ourselves a more balanced G SWEET!

Jeff, here is a little information i found. It doesn’t discuss weight or bias compared to the VQ, but it gives alot of good info pertaining to the RB26DETT.

Here are a coupe engine bay comparison photos...to me the RB seems to sit alot lower in the engine bar vs the VQ...

Here is a hint. When you are trying to add information to a conversation (especially one that we have discussed before in length), just posting a link for me to dig though does nothing. If you post the link, then it's up to you to point out the specific information you want relayed. I do it. I think you can to.

Now why would it appear to do that?? Here is a hint. Consider what looks taller, where those pieces are mounted and what they are made of.

you can find them on passwordjdm for 4500. JE told anothe member on the forum that this swap for them to do would cost aprox 17k (for a 380 hp motor). Considering the all of the labor it sounds pretty cheap. I have also heard the RB directly links up to our transmission as well, which makes this swap super easy. There is some good information in a recent rb swap thread if you can ignore all of Jeff's bs.

I don’t understand what you are trying to say here...Why would what appear to do what? "Where those pieces are mounted"...What pieces are you talking about, and what does "what they are made of" have anything to do with how the engine sits.

It’s simple Jeff, that RB26 does sit lower then the VQ35 in our engine bay. End of story, I don’t care what they are made of, what they look like, or what it takes to get the engine in there. By looking at both of the pictures (if you have even opened up the pictures that I attached) you can obviously see that the RB26 does in fact sit lower. Look at the RB26 motor...you can see the back of the engine bay wall. Then take a look at the picture with the VQ35 motor, notice you can’t see the back of the engine bay. This is obvious that the RB26 sits lower...
