Ran a search and came up with 8 pages that did not answer my question. So here it is and maybe it might help other future owners.

My g/f sister has an 06 G coupe that is currently going in for a new motor! She's always had an oil consumption issue and as a matter of fact, she always has a quart sitting in her trunk just in case. So finally she goes to the dealership (where she always gets her oil/maint. done) and they tell her that she can get a recall done and get a brand new motor.

My question is, do the 07+ have any of these problems? I'll be buying used, so I definitely want to be on the look out.

 

Nope....no oil comsumption issues with the new motor in the 07+ VQ35HR motor. Nissan/Inifiniti fixed that problem after dealing with the Rev up motors and oil comsumption issues from that motor.

no issues at all with the new motor. Those were only with the non-Rev Up DE's if I'm correct.
