[HOU] - If you're looking for a body shop...

If anyone is looking for a reputable body shop in the Houston area, I recommend checking out V & V Paint and Body off of I-45 South and College Ave. I was involved in a hit & run and took my car to V & V to get it fixed up. They did an excellent job and their service was second to none. Make sure to ask for Donny. They worked with me to get brand new parts even tho the insurance company was adamant that new parts weren't necessary and can be fixed. My car was fixed and I was also offered a car detail at a later time at my convenience since the car had some dust on it because I picked it up a few days after they were finished.

Well in my defense, I have a G37, so i usually post on myg37.com instead of G35driver. but since this forum has the regional section, I wanted to become a member as well. I don't mind posting pictures as well. I can even do before and after shots. but seeing as how i got my car back yesterday, I will need some time to do so.

My only reason why i posted this was prior to taking my car into the shop, i was on here searching for a shop that members on here recommend and did not find anything. so in case someone was in my shoes, i thought i would throw in my two cents.

but in any case...thanks for the warm welcome....

thought i'd try to do something nice for those ppl who come on here hoping they can get some recommendations for a body shop.

sorry i tried...

Don't take Eddie's comments personally. He's been around the scene for a long time and probably doesn't want members screwed by crappy work at a so called "legit" body shop. He's more then likely seen it all.

Personally, I'd have to side with him on the whole post count thing. Not to question your good intentions, but you gotta look at it from an outside perspective. Are you going to take the advice of someone who has 2 post counts and just joined in January or are you going to listen to a guy who's been a member since 2006 with 2k posts?

Snap some shots and lets see the work. I wouldn't mind looking for a new shop to do my work as well, if the price is right and the quality is good.

I been to V & V. I don't remember the guy there but he helped me remove the left over residue from debadging the trunk. The labor was free and all I had to do was pay for a $20 dollar emblem.

Clear Lake Infiniti's will recommend you to V & V Paint and Body, that is how I came upon them.

Thank bro! I agree with everything you sad.

OP: If you could please. Post up pictures of their work. Do you happen to know if they specialize in fender /work pulling, body-kits, or various other body work needs for the Tuner guys?

I mean, its one thing to repair and paint a car the original color. Its also another to do custom paint & body work and do it good.... We as tuners are picky on what performance shops we go to & body shops. So, I hope you understand....

Pleased with my repairs from V&V

After my G35 was rear ended by a distracted driver, I called Clear Lake Infinti for a body shop recommendation, which was V&V. Jason took care my repairs. Their rear end work was solid and the paint job was flawless. He also took care of a water leak from the rear spoiler a couple of weeks later. All said, dealing with V&V was pretty smooth - I wish I could say the same for the other driver's insurance company.
