I think what he's asking here is, why would you bump your rev limiter up so high on a valve train that not designed to handle it? Only the "Rev Up" motors were designed to run over 7k.
I mean, your Toruqe curve is already rolling off at 6K and your HP peak is about 6350, there's not much point in going past that.
Nice numbers anyway. I would love to get mine tuned too. At least get all I can get, like you have.

Also from the looks of the chart, the rpm drops at 6900-7000 and ends there. I'm guessing and I could be wrong, but it seems like the tuner only bumped it up to 7k.. That sounds normal for a 5at but passed that it would detonating for the engine IMO. Unless you have new springs, valves, cams and all to support that high rpm.

I never pull to 7600 .I shift at 7000

That's awesome man! I wish my tuner would've let me bump it up pass 6800rpm bc with our newer year model.. Once we hit the limiter.. It's a fuel cutoff and it takes a while to get going again once you change the gears. That's what I hate about our year. With the 03-04 it's a limiter and you can bounce off of it as much as u want and there is no lag from hitting the limiter to shifting.. 06+ the computer stops throttle and once the gears are changed it will get back on to the gas. I want a higher rev so I don't make that mistake when I got passed the shifting point a little. I just want to make sure once I get anoter tune that it is ok for us to bump the rev limit a little higher without internals (valves, valve springs, cams etc.) without breaking something in the engine.

I'm not hatting at all. I think it's awesome you have a high rev. I think the autos have a crappy rev... 7500 sounds perfect, but it is pointless if we are losing power up there. It's just cool having it. I'm sure others can agree with what I'm trying to say. 302 whp is awesome too! That means if you were in a dynojet you be hitting around the 260-270s. That's where I'm at 265whp. Thumbs up man!!

Big C thank u for the helpful information.
Let me explain to you what's important to me.
Today I posted 303.2 at the dyno day.
Boosted4life posted 316.4 (he's got a revup motor
I'm just a 5 AT Non revup) we ran em and .......
He got owned . Or should I say crushed. ........ .....
That's what matters to me Big C.....

bro, there's no hate here. i'm glad you're happy with your number, but a dynapack number is useless for comparison or bragging rights. if you want a number worth a thread, head over to hb speed or specialty z up in chatsworth for a few pulls on a dynojet.
again, enjoy your car

All good big homie
