2008 factory ipod interface won't skip forward
 

I have a 2008 G35x with the Premium and Nav packages. I purchased the factory ipod dock cable. It works fine except that I cannot skip forward or backwards through to the next or previous track. Whenever, I use the steering wheel control or "seek" button, it locks the ipod on the current song and will only skip to the beginning on that track. Then it will just play this track repeatedly. I have to use "menu" to back out of this and select a different track manually and then the ipod will resume playing normally. This behavior occurs with a 4th gen Nano and a 5th gen Ipod Video. Any thoughts? BTW I do not have any of the resume or charging issues that others complain about.

Go figure...it seems to be working fine now. Bizarre.
