adjusting springs after I dropped it?
 

Ok so i am sure a lot of you guys have seen my car in the thread i made after I dropped the car: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-brakes-suspension-wheels-tires/196886-dropped-car-pics-inside.html

I love EVERYTHING about the drop, but i feel like the front is just a little bit too low, I would be happy if i could bring it up maybe 1/4", because the front tire is tucked under the fender just a hair (see the picture below).

Now my question is can I have my springs adjusted so that it raises the front up just a little bit? or once the car has been dropped you can't make any adjustments with the springs? Thanks in advance!

If you just installed lowering springs i.e Eibach pro kit, you cannot do anything to the springs to make them higher. I saw a show yesterday about eibach. The springs are a matched set and the spring will appearantly always return to the original ride height no matter how long there are on your car. I'm not aware of any shims, but that may be worth looking into.

Wow- thats pretty low. If the roads are like they are here, you have to scrape everywhere. There are some spring spacers/cushions out there. I had looked into them when I first dropped my car. I wanted to bring my front back up about 1/8 - 1/4" too. I ended up not doing it. They are pretty cheap. Run a Yahoo/Google search and start looking. There are some generics and then there are some more size specific ones that your order based on the diameter of the spring and the width of the spacer you want... I wish I could remember a brand name or something, sorry. Goodluck!

I looked into spring spacers when I first dropped my car...the shop I went to highly recommended [I]not[I] using them. Said they just weren't a good idea for right or dependability. He never quite gave me a good answer, then I got used to the drop so haven't looked further into it.

Has any body ever used spring spacers?

Having worked on brakes/suspensions for most of my adult life I discovered
years ago when guys wanted a cheap way to raise there cars they used
spacers only to discover it ruined the way the car rode. Your throwing
chunks of metal between the spring links, that's just bad!

Most of the ones I saw were made out of a really hard rubber, so it had some give in it. Not saying they didnt use metal ones at some point, but I am pretty sure there are rubber ones available now. I would imagine that would be better than metal as far as ride quality, I am sure it would still hurt it to some degree though-

I actually like that drop, looks really nice

but yeah, get another set of springs if you're unhappy with that height, or wait for a height adjustable coilover...
I personally don't like the idea of spacers for anything...

thanks I dont really wanna spend that much $$ again for springs plus install.
