Share your Driving Experiences here with Rims that are 19's, 20's, 21's, 22's!!!
Hey Guys - I would like to hear about your driving experiences with your rims that are 19's or larger! I havent fully decided on the rim size yet but im really liking the look of 20's on our G's. But I dont know if thats good in terms of driving feel and always having to worry about it getting dinged with bad roads and such. Tell me about your experiences so I can make an informed decision! thx. :driving:

i'v got some 20" and im pretty happy and hardly feel that the ride has become super stiff or as harsh as others had told me before.
It is firmer now and provides me the perfect feel and handling. So i'd say go for it. I dont regret it for a second. |

well no matter what... theres always potential hazards on the road involving aftermarket rims. stock rims plus oem tires are fat, so you never really needed to worry about pot holes. it kinda depends on what size tires you get also

The issue that I've noticed with large tires and low profile (19's myself) is the tendency to follow grooves in the road.
I sometimes have to keep a firm grip on the steering wheel to make sure it doesn't steer off into oblivion. |

I went from the stock 18s, to m45 19s to 20s and to tell you the truth the 20's ride the best to me and im lowered on H&R's. The ride quality also has to do with the tires, even though im running on stretched tires the ride on 20's seems more comfortable to me!

Good idea Wes 888 on putting up this thread because Im stuck in the same boat. Trying to make my mind up regarding 20" but just been concerned with having a bad driving experience. But a lot of people have told me they like them with no problems. I wanna get 20" staggered, either the MRR GT-1 or HR-2. What you looking into getting?

I was also on the 19/20 fence until I took a close look at hokiesean24's G (Before he sold it)
That car looked perfect with the drop and 19's. ddubb is also running 19's on his X, and with Impuls, the look is perfect. I also went with 19's to avoid any unwanted road feedback, but I hear the 20's are much worse. |
Well, I'm not really interested in dropping the ride because I dont want to deal with camber issues (especially since no manufactuerer has released a front camber kit; only rear) because then replacing tires is going to be a real issue and the as it is its a pain getting up my driveway with the OEM height of the car. But the impuls provide the least amount of drop, which looks great but also costs great too..why is this so dam hard to make up my mind! lol

i was in the same boat but i wanted to slam my car so i went with 19s and have no complaints.. in fact my ride is quieter now..dont be cheap, spend some $$ on your tires cause it makes all the diff
