Don't 19's look too small on our sedan?
 

After reviewing my big wheel purchase I have just made an observation that 19"s look tiny on our cars.

On my is300 19's looked huge, but the car was much smaller.

AM I crazy or what? I swear 20's lowered or non-look better, but just IMO.

Has anyone had any problems with 20's rubbing alot?

19s do look smaller on the new ones, unless they are the G37 19s.

It all depends on the style of the rims. If the spokes extend all the way to the lip, then it looks perfect (ie. G37S 19s). However, w/ rims that have their spokes reach below the lip, then it sure does look bit undersized.

Agreed, if you want a lip on your rims you need a larger wheel. Normally one size higher than you'd originally get. (i.e. if you want 19's, you'll need 20's with a lip)

also agreed, I got mine in 19, but the spokes start right at the center and go to the edge (no lip). a deep dish (polished lip) does appear to be a bit smaller but I'd still hit it.

IMO 19's look too small on the 1st gen sedan and way too small on the 2nd gen!

I love my OEM 19s but wish I had 20s. The look of 20s with a nice offset on a sedan with a nice drop is sick! Just gotta pay to play, any set of 20s I would want cost way to much.

The deceiving thing about cost for 19s vs 20s is the fact that while 19" rims may be cheaper than 20s, 19" tires are usually more expensive and you have far fewer choices so it ends up being a wash.

Agreed.... I spent probably 40% more on 19's then comparable 20's and ended up waiting almost a week and a half since they had to be ordered from the manufacturer.

exactly what I was about to say, why go for 19's, the tires for 19 are way more expensive so in realty your are not saving any $$$.

Depends on the wheel. Mine are only 19s, but folks ask if they are 20s.

i think my 20's look too small..... currently saving up for bigger wheels

i like my 19's.... ride better, handle a little better, and IMO fit the car better.

I would do 21's if I had the extra money to have another set of wheels made. The other problem is that 21" tires are a PITA to find.
