g37 coupes + 15mm spacers
alright guys- ive tried asking this question before on some of the "check out my new g37 wheels" threads- but have never gotten a response. so im starting my own thread:
will i have fitment issues with the g37 coupe rims while using the ichiba 15mm spacers? and if so, do i have to reinstall my stock shorter bolts or can i simply just remove the 15mm spacer plate and keep the longer bolts on with the g37 wheels? i know that question could have been worded better- i obviously do not understand offsets and how they work. but thanks in advance for your patience. g37 wheel specs: front 19x8.5 +43 offset rear 19x9 +45 offset |
The V2s don't use a longer bolt.
The whole idea of the V2 is to retain OE hub bolts |
then i guess that means i have the v1 ichibas because the mechanic gave me back my OEM bolts after they installed the spacers.
|
OK...
Then yes, if you want to remove the spacers you will need to change the studs back to OE length. ....unless you go to open end lug nuts. |
ok- thanks InTgr8r for the info.
however that doesnt really answer my initial question. will i have fitment issues if i use the spacers with the g37s? to be more precise- will my wheels be sticking out too much or will have i have rubbing issues? |
i really doubt it. as far as i know people are running 25mm spacers without problems

^ 25mm on G37S coupe wheels?

The fronts "could" use a spacer, but remember that the farther out the wheels stick, the more chance you'll get for rock chips on the doors, fenders, etc. You can see in the pic that the fender/mudguard catchs almost all the rocks that would fly up and cause damage

I'm dropped on h&r springs and have 15mm spacer in the front and 20mm in the rear...absolutely no rub issues at all

interesting Ericson112- your wheels sit identically as E-tickets except you have spacers. so maybe its the springs? i see that you are on H&R...
E-ticket- what springs are you using? |
He has COs & is not dropped as much.
If you look closely, ericson's are definitely further out. |
