Concave wheel Offset? XS dropped on Eibach's.. Need Help

I need some help picking the best offsets for my XS Sedan, im dropped on eibach pro kit & have upgraded to akebonos. The design team recommends I run:

Front 20x9 +40
Rear 20x10.5 +45

Those specs dont sound right to me, I dont think they have taken into account my brake upgrade & the drop. I was thinking more along the lines
of.

Front 20x9 +32
Rear 20x10.5 +32

or

Front 20x9 +35
Rear 20x10.5 +37

I want them to sit flush with the fenders not tucked in, im not really into the poke or stretched look.

Forgot to mention tires I will be running: 245/35 & 275/30

Any help would be great.

VOSSEN isn't it?))))

If you want the rims to sit flush with the fender then go with 20x9 +25, 20x10.5 +32 with the tire sizes you gave. Take a look at the marketplace there is a company called vertini and they have came out with new concave wheels which will look good on the sedan

I saw those wheels and they are nice but Ive already choosen a wheel and now working out the specs.

Will those specs work with Akebonos?

Could I get away with a 20x9.5 in the front?

I thought on the X's you could not run a staggered set. All the wheels dia and offset need to be the same or you mess up the AWD system??? NOOB on wheels sorry.

Offsets wont change the rolling diameter of the wheels. The diameter needs to be as close as possible.

Nope, you can stagger an X no problem. Just make sure tire sizes are the same overall diameter. However to the OP 245/35R20 and 285/30R20 tires should be used.

Ah ok thanx- So as long as the rims are all the same( 20 inch) he is ok?

Yeah thats what I was considering but got a sick deal on a 275 so I went with that for now.

As long as the overall diameter of the tires is the same. Calculate with this:

245/35 and 275/30 are .25" off where the 285's are only .02 so the 285's seem like the safer choice.

Thanks for the imput but to minimize the potential for bottoming out I went the 275.

Im more concerned with the correct offset to sit flush.

Are these the best offsets for my car?

20x9 +25,
20x10.5 +32

I know R34 Eclipse on the myg37 forum picked up a set of shallow concave DPE's with these offsets. But it was for a coupe.

Right now I'm on eibach springs and im running 20x9 +20 all around and I don't have a problem with rubbing. since you are going with 275/30 you should be fine with running 20x10.5 +32 in the rear. What wheels are you looking to get

Good to know! Why didnt you go with a staggered set up?

I recieved a sponsorship from Rennen Modular and will be posting specs on my full build very soon.

lundy Mar 1, 2011 01:58 PM

as long as you got enough negative camber the +32 should be good. Let me know how the 275's work out. I decided not to run them in fear of damaging the AWD system with the different diameters.
