So what's this I hear about aftermarket Springs?

Hey everyone, I'm going to be getting into an 08' S Sedan very soon. I used to own an 04' Sedan 6MT untill it was written off a month ago in a collision, I had Tein S-Techs on the car for 6 years and only the last few months my shocks needed to be replaced. The ride hardly changes through the 6 years it was lowered stayed pretty close to stock.

I've been doing a bit of research here and noticed by just installing springs and not doing shocks on the V36 resulted in a poor ride and bottoming out is this true? I was thinking of going with the Eibach Pro Kit I want as close to a stock ride as possible just as I had with my 04' Sedan.

I'd like to get some input from you as to your lowered experience to help me with my decision.

Thanks in advance.......can't wait to get my new ride:driving:

I haven't heard much about the bottoming out other than my own car. Mine is an X on H&R's. From what I've seen Eibachs ride really nice with no complaints of bottoming out. And since you have a RWD you can get the Tokico Blues.

Yes I've read the Blues are a nice compliment to the Eibach's however money is real tight and I still need a set of tires for my rims, I may get these later in the summer or next spring.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Does Tein make Springs for the 07' - 08' sedan? I haven't seen anything regarding that here.

WOW no one is using Eibach's? I can't believe no one has any input on how their ride is with these springs.

there are a lot of ppl with eibach search and you should find some good reviews if no one is chiming in.

I know two people who have Eibachs and they like them a lot.

I just installed Eibach springs (pn# 6383.140) last weekend. The ride is amazing. I'm running on stock shocks w/66k miles and it feels very nice. I'm having no clearance issues or "bottoming" out. I'll be posting pics hopefully later on this evening.

I ended up ordering the same springs, ride is nice although I can for-see sqeeks and rattles in the interior in the future and although it does look SICK its lower than I thought it would be. I definitely liked the ride with Tein S-Techs better when I had my 04' sedan, the Eibachs are a stiffer ride than stock.

I actually think the stock springs transmitted more vibration than the Eibach springs I have on even though my car is lowered now.

^ I agree with Terry. The S is already pretty stiff off the lot and I though my ride quality actually improved slightly with the Eibachs.

I guess I have to drive around a bit more to really make a proper analysis....BTW terrycs LOVE your wheels!!!
