2008 g35 amp install on a stock bose system

I have a 2008 infiniti g35 with the g37 body style and am trying to install an amp to my bose system. I do not know which wire i should splice into to connect my amps rem wire(blue wire) to the preexisiting bose amp. I have done all the other connections and wire running already. Does any have an image, diagram, or any sort of help for wiring this?

what type of amp are you installing mono for subs? or multi channel?

rybo917 03-28-2011 05:42 PM

It's for subs, its a rockford fosgate 601 s amp for 2 subs

Are you going to use a LOC or does it have a speakerwire input? Some amps (like mine: JL J2 1000.1) have speaker lever inputs. So what I did on my 2007 G35x is take out the sub in the back ( your going to have to because it will destroy the sub if its left in due to the change in pressure from the aftermarket subs in your trunk since the bose sub is a free air or hanging sub.) i took the connector after all the amps and just put the wires in from behind. Im pretty sure its the purple and teal wire with the dark grey being the remote turn on. It sounds great from what I can hear. The boseamps really don't lose much of the sound quality from what i can hear from the lower bass. Ive done testing on a friends car with an almost exact setup (amplifier were different) however he did his before the bose amps and I couldn't tell a difference in the lower Hz at all.

i did that but dont have any power. is it possible that a poorly ground wire could result in there being no power? im trying to figure out how i went wrong. i put my ground wire behind a bolt on the metal part of my car. is that good enough?

Possibly check your fuses, how bout the fuse by the battery does it look bad? check the fuses on the amp. You have you signal running to the speaker level inputs on the amp, along with the remote turn on wire running to the right spot? Possibly the ground, its sparking and arcing around the ground then it isn't a good ground

ah you need the shop manuals. here ya go! the wiring diagrams you need are in there.

Shansong - i'm assuming you're referring to the RCA cables that go to the amp. you'll need to install a Line Out Converter (LOC) to change the speaker wire outputs to RCA outputs.

How did this install come along?

Were you able to use the LOC to tap into the wires after the amplifier?

Yes I do have the BOSE system.

I am not quite sure what to tap into, some people say rear speakers. other say subwoofer line.

What's the trick to getting the brown plug off of the sub?

Fhbrumb 06-10-2015 02:36 PM

What's the trick to getting the brown plug off of the sub? And I'm using which two wires to run to the LOC? The thicker ones? They are black and yellow...
