Both trims look nice depending on what else has been done to the car, the black trim is also a nice option if your chrome ever gets scuffed up.

I got my vinyl from www.autovinylsolutions.com awesome service, product and price. The stickercity video was used for general installation terchniques. Good to know there's better vinyl sources :)

Great DIY. I was about to pay someone to do this for me, didnt realize it was so easy! Is there any 3M 1080 gloss vinyl that matches the liquid platinum color for a v36 sedan? I really want to vinyl wrap my spoiler to get rid of that chrome. Also, on autovinylsolutions, why are some of the wrap prices 6 dollars, and others 335 dollars? :eek3:

3m makes a few machined-look wraps, I think they have it in a gray or silver, also a matte gray wrap. You might call Autovinylsolutions and see what's available if you don't see it on the site. The wrap prices are based on feet, the 6 dollar one is probably a 12"x12" sample and the $300+ price would be like a 20'x5' roll (enough to wrap most cars).
Glad you found the DIY helpful

My gloss black vinyl should be waiting for me at home after I get out of work. Can't wait to give this a shot. I've had this write up bookmarked since it's hands down the best one I've come across.

I'll post pics upon completion.
