Upgrading VQ35DE vs. VQ35HR Any difference in actual gains from intake and exhaust

So, I have a 2007 sedan with the newer HR engine. A local shop said that by upgrading to short ram intake and Stillen or Borla exhaust, I will get 20+ more hp. But, because the 2007 already has a pretty good dual ram air and improved exhaust (over DE engine in earlier models), will I really see that much improvement? I’ve found similar threads, but none specifically addressing the difference between how similar upgrades affect the DE vs. HR engines. I get the impression most advertising claims refer to gains for the older, DE package.

If I have VQ35HR in my 2007, do I have V36 (I've been assuming so)
Can anyone direct me to a thread?

I just read that thread, and he never re-dyno'd on the DJ. Or, if he did, he didn't post it. No way he made 318 with an AT and only bolt-ons and reflash. I don't think he went to the track either.

IMO, dyno numbers are worthless anyway. ET and mph are the only "true" numbers to go by.

go with cold air....

for me with injen cold air intakes/fast intentions exhaust/TS ecu reflash- i gained roughly 30hp.

I would say intake gives 5hp, exhaust 10hp, and ecu reflash 15hp.

271rwhp on a dynojet. 13.5@104 in the 1/4 mile at steele, AL.
