Question w/ OEM Coupe vs Sedan Exhaust

I think we can all agree the coupe OEM exhaust is louder than the OEM sedan exhaust (at least it was on the G35's).

With that in mind, I wondering if the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust would be quieter on the sedan than the coupe. I only ask because I’ve read some of some people complaining of the Tanabe being too loud, but all of these people had coupes. Who’s got this exhaust on the sedan? Does my logic make sense?

Search and you'll find that a handful of ppl have the Tanabe. You'll even find soundclips for your enjoyment. Search is your friend.

Our's is an axle-back design so it's relatively quiet. The one for the coupe is a cat-back and the muffler design is different, and yes, it's louder than the one for the sedan.

The tanabe mufflers for the sedan sound nothing like the ones on the coupe. The sedan version has bigger oval mufflers, which reduces noise more so than the coupe's. The coupe has smaller 5" round mufflers, which IMO sound much better. However, from reviews on myg37, it might drone a bit at cruising speeds.
