Throttle Lag

Thanks, will try that, car has been running really nicely for the past few months to.
I've had it on Castrol Edge Extended for the past 8K miles, oil is still reddish although definitely turning darker. Was considering getting post maf tubes but decided it's probably not worth it, spend the $$ on an Alutec strut bar instead, assuming I don't need to buy any parts to fix this issue.

Well this is the state of my battery. Hadn't noticed it before, obviously a fair amount of sweat and grime around both poles.
Should I try cleaning it up and re-connecting or is this a sign of a battery on the way out and better to simply replace?
How many miles does an average battery last in a G

Well I'm not out of the woods yet.
Today it started raining lightly, I noticed my battery voltage at 13.7V for quite a long time, it finally dropped to 12.9V, but only for a few seconds, it then went back up to 13.7, indicating the alternator was having to continually charge it. It did this several times throughout the day, so it appears i have an electrical issue/battery drain somewhere, possibly only when driving in the rain.
The car starts fine, so I'm not sure if theres any problem while its sitting. Are there any common culprits or things I can check? Would a multi-meter help?

If you do a search it looks like this issue is very common with some users reporting problems back in '08 in their first year of ownership with cars that have only 10K miles. Still unclear what the root cause is although it appears the Bose head unit/sound system is a culprit.
If you listen to a lot of music even at medium sound levels I can see it needing in the range of 350watts or more, so at 12V you're looking at 30amps drain on the electrical system just to power the stereo while driving. That will keep your alternator busy..

I got my car back last weekend. The mechanic who screwed up the car took it to Infiniti. He claimed that they only had to "upgrade" the ECU.
I've been playing around with the DS and pseudomanual modes since I got it back. Even in DS, the car has some lag, but manually downshifting seems to solve the issue. So it looks like the problem is with the TCU?
Any updates, Serge?

For shifting issues clean up the transmission grounds located at the front of the engine, bolted to the top middle of the timing cover. You will have two bolts with small gauge wire lugs landed there. Unbolt them, use a metal brush to clean any corrosion, apply anti-oxidation grease and reattach.

The total loss of engine power I had looks like it was due to a bad connection caused by a fouled battery post terminal. Since replacing the battery over to a new one, car is running fairly good with voltage staying at 12.9 over the past few days (only reads 14.1 for a few mins immediately after startup).
I still do get the odd hesitation from time to time when applying 30-40% throttle. This is likely coming from the throttle body and will need to get cleaned at some point, probably at the same time I will also replace the plugs and clean the MAF sensors.
