problem downloading ripped CD's to the hardrive

Did a search but I couldn't find the answer to my question.

Have you guys had any trouble downloading ripped CD's to the hardrive? Everytime I try it says copy protected. Original CD's work just fine but I just can't seem to get ripped ones to download at all. I've tried 10 different CD's with no success Any help is greatly appreciated. :D

I dont think the system is set up to allow you to copy burnt CDs. Some have said they were successful in copying burnt CDs (I believe in .wav format) to the hard drive. I have actually not even tried it.

I have not had a problem doing this. I have even transfered fom mixed Cd's that I have made. I burn my CD's with CD-TEXT enabled and the music box is able to get artist and song titles from the CD-TEXT.

That's what I've been trying to burn with no luck at all. I usually make my mixed cd's with Musicmatch. I wonder if there's something that I have chosen in the burn options with Musicmatch that's making the CD's copy protected? :confused2:

I use Nero to burn my CDs and have had no problems ripping them to the hard drive. The song title, album info and artist info transfers over nicely also.

Good deal. I guess thats an option to get my MP3s to the jukebox. It would require me to waste a lot of CDs though...

But they are cheap! I mean most of the time you can get the cheap ones for a dollar a piece or less.

I use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) for ripping and burning. It is not as easy as Roxio or others, but the quality is first rate.

I've put all sorts of burnt cds in my car, and it had no problem recording anything. I've had cds burnt with Nero, SonicMedia, Windows Media, Itunes, cds with labels, no labels, even lightscribe cds. No problems. Ever.
