What's the MINIMUM options I need to order to get a touchscreen included on 08 G35x?
 

Does the base car come with a touchscreen?

-OR-

Do you get the touchscreen when you add the Premium Package?

-OR-

Do you need to get the Navigation Package to get a touchscreen?


I ASSUME you need to order the Premium Package to get the I-pod connection included on the 2008 G35x.

When listening to the I-pod via the integrated I-pod connection,
do phone calls and Navigation instructions pre-empt or override the audio from the i-pod?

THe touchscreen only comes with the navi package. And I believe the premium package is a prequisite for the navi package.

I know the NAV PAckage comes with touchscreen.

I have not found a G35 that has ONLY the Premium Package and NO NAV to test if it has a touchsreen.

I have read the threads and searched the dealerships.

At my dealer here in Dallas/Fort Worth area, there were plenty of premium without the nav on the lot. They do have touchscreens, but you can do most everything without it.

Where are you located?

i have a no nav version and no its not touchscreen.

It's plain and simple. The car will have touchscreen only if it has NAV, no exceptions.

infiniti's site isn't very clear. It doesn't say anything about whether or not the default screen has touchscreen or not. The only mention of touchscreen is on the nav package (which requires premium).

So while the samuel l jackson picture is funny as hell, it doesn't really apply :) because the standard features page doesn't really answer the question.

+1 to those that mention, no nav no touchscreen, and nav require premium.

Oh... you're not asking if it has a screen... you're asking specifically if it has a TOUCH screen.

all new G's have screens, but only NAVI G's have touch screen...

Damn, I think a couple ppl who posted in this thread failed Basic Reading Comprehension 101.

The Phone call will pause the IPOD and the nav instructions talk over it.

The dealer is telling me that they have a Premium car that is scheduled to be in the 1st week of December but they SWEAR that I will have it in November so I can take advantage of the low interest rate.

I think I'm going with Premium only and I'm just going to add NAV myself using the RCA inputs the come with the G35. :)
