OK according to all the forums we have about 30 cars. We also have those who heard about the meet from word of mouth and those who will show up last minute. If you see a Z or G on the street let them know about the meet!

Gabe:
I will be there at 11 to meet with Dave, and probably be leaving a bit early as I have to be in Malibu for a dinner early that evening, so you can come early and I will let you hear the exhaust and take you for a run so you can hear it under driving load as well.
Basically my experience was that the difference in sound was marginally deeper, and at idle almost imperceptible, even with the FI engine. The headers give a growl noise that is distinctive under load, but otherwise not much impact.
The RT cats are what make the big difference in my estimation. I think you will get a decent idea, but it will not be EXACT. Also, unless you have the ability to separate out the characteristic sounds of the differing components, you will not necessarily understand. Like taking a musician to the symphony, he or she can pick out the instruments individually and critique them, while the rest of us are overwhelmed with the wave of sounds from the entire orchestra. I am constantly amazed at how good mechanics can immediately pick out an errant sound and know what it comes from and why. You do not have to be that good, but a bit of familiarity with engines will be a big help. If you do not feel comfortable with that, then do not cancel your other important plans because you will just get a sensory input that helps not at all.
Cheers. Ed.

If you guys get there early do you think you can help reserve parking? G35chic is also helping with this, would be great if we can all park next to each other! Should help out with the pictures. Thanks

DaveO:
I will be there as promised. Did not have a chance this morning to go over the engine bay so I have some bov spray on the underside of the bonnet and fan shroud, per normal. Just not enough time to get it spritzed up this morning with all of the other chores. With 5 kids a start at 6am is too late, even on a Saturday!!
