G35 Detail Day at Meguiar's Irvine
 

This post is to see who would be interested in attending a
G35 detail day at Meguiar's in Irvine.

If there are 20 people willing to go, I will go ahead and contact Mike Phillips and setup a date for you guys. It will probably be on a Saturday. The date is not set, but he is a busy man.

I attended the Autopian (detailing freaks as some people would say) detail day and it was a blast. First you learn about Meguiar's line of products as well as steps to properly detail your car (via class). Then you get some hands on experience on your car, you are free to use what they give you (which is basically everything). They let us use at their expense: clay bars, porter cable, detail spray, and their new NXT line of products.

You can ask any questions or concern and you will get an answer, you can purchase items there as well (they sell very useful microfiber cloths that work excellent for removing wax, etc., as well as a trim spray that works excellent on the sedan)

They do push their product slightly, but all claims are BACKED up by actually demonstrating what they do, which is awesome. I will link the thread to the pictures of the day when they come out.

There are tons of pictures, but they are not uploaded yet.

Here is a finished 350z (he is from my350z.com & off-topic). It had some light swirl marks. I will try to find a before pic.

This is after clay bar, polish, as well as NXT wax.

Very glossy, it looked wet.



I will update pictures of my car once they are up, as well as link to the autopian thread in detail once that is up too.

I gaurantee you will come out more intellegent, if not....

so you get to learn how to detail your car and they'll show you on your own car? How does this work?

Zack they can help trust me i had a black 5 Series, and i used mostly thier products i got the wet looks going on.

Im game for this. Irvine isnt that far from LA. so Just update us on the date. If you need other cars (that are not G's) let me know

they provide all the tools for you to use, and in addition provide all materials (microfiber clothes, etc.).

its a very interesting class/day. Meguiar's is a company that focuses on customer satisfaction, and they shine when it comes to events like this, because I am pretty sure they are dishing out a bit of cash for all the stuff.

I cant get an exact date till I know we have 20+ people interested. They are busy and we have to work our schedule around them. It may very well end up being a Saturday in September, or possibly earlier depending whats available.

You do not have to be pro, or even good at detailing.

The class is aimed to teach you how to detail. It is a rare opportunity to learn, and have fun; for free.

You will learn the basics in a class, and then team up and detail each other's cars. They provide excellent equipment and I promise you will be happy with the results.

sounds like a plan.. just wondering if its possible to have this thing on a sunday.. i think tha twould be good for alot of people so we dont have to work to get days off.. just my opinion!

So this is going to be on saturday May 15? Does your car need to be washed before you get there?
