VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
ok,since some of you guys already wanted to do the next one.let talk about it.some ones mention we should do it close to the strip.so first thing come to my mind is the Venetian.the reason is being a self contain resort.it has everythings vegas can offers.within walking distance to everywhere.nice parking for us (see attached pic.) we can have the showoff at open top deck.if it too hot at the time we can move one floor down.absolutly nobody park on top 3 floors 12th,13th and 14th.the only two problems that i can see is #1,it's hard to get in and out of the resort.the answer is the only time we need to drive together is the cruise.we can set up a remote area, wait for everybody to get there before we start the cruise.problem # 2 is the room rate
here's what i emailed them to whom it may concern. hi,my name is steve.i'm one of 9500 members in g35driver.com it is a car club for infiniti g35 owners.we are now planning to have a big meet in vegas.we're looking at (fri 8/13-sat 8/14) (fri 8/20-sat 8/21) or (fri 8/27-sat 8/28).right now we don't have the head counts but it will be atleast 20 rooms or more.so my question to you is which weekend is better? (as far as avaiability and not bump into any conventions) also what kind of group disscount room rate you can get us?. best regards.steve. here's the reply Steve, Over the dates you requested it looks like August 20-22 has the best rate. Please review the attached Proposal and let me know if that will work for you. By the way, I love the G35's, awesome looking cars! Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
Sounds good to me. Thanx for the research. One problem... I may not be able to attend. I may be working in Hawai'i, and wouldn't be able to take time off. But I will inform you as soon as possible on my status. I hope I'll be able to go, I had too much fun last time.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
i'm game for vegas2! since venitian is pretty pricey i might just stay at my regular vegas favorite hotel -Imperial Palace since its centrally located at the Strip. Also you guys can check www.tripreservations.com to find really cheap rates on hotels in vegas. august 28th is my birthday so prolly the other weekends would be better.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
Flamingo and Imperial Palace are strip central and are much cheaper. I am going to Flamingo next weekend so I can report on the room conditions.
A quick search of Expedia.com shows prices of: Imperial Palace $95.00 a night Hilton(1 block from strip, but nice) $109.00 per night Alladin $165 per night Treasure Island(tiny rooms) $154 a night NYNY and Paris $169 per night Flamingo $140 per night Ballys 149 per night Stratosphere(end of strip, but clean) $79 per night Barbary Coast(old, but stylish...very center of strip) $109 per night A further option....I know the new Hotel at Mandalay Bay was running special prices and is all suites. |

You can count me out on that one... I'm not that type of guy. Perhaps SnmDesignStudio might take you up on that offer.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
I can offer many "Rewards"... I'm just sorry to say your fantacies wouldn't be fulfilled being I won't be personally presenting these "Rewards".

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
I found one~~~
I called Montecarlo today. at Montecarlo, it's 99.95 per night. 2 queen size beds. well it's not like the offer I got last time(which was 49.95 last christmas season)but I thought it's still pretty good deal. they said they can't offer that deal anymore becuase of less visitors to vegas. anyhow, close to anywhere I think...it's between bellagio and newyork newyork. Let me know anyone wants this I can put any number of rooms as I want. check out this map, the montecarlo is #32 http://www.vegas.com/map.html ham imagineG = imagine G35(?) = imagine Girl(?)
Edited by imagineG on 05/30/04 06:19 PM.
|
Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
I'm a fan of the Monte Carlo. It's sort of a "budget Bellagio" theme. For <$100 a night, too, it's not too bad. Location's perfect too-- right around all the big clubs.

Re: VEGAS INVASION II dicussion
$99 as a weekend rate for a hotel like Monte Carlo that is mid strip is a good deal.
