Those with TE37's or Toyo T1R....?

Hey all,
I just put on my GM TE37's with Toyo T1R's and so far i'm loving them! Sorry for the bad quality pics... but i haven't gotten a chance to take some good shots. Question: Do any of you with TE37's (or with any model Volks) need hubcentric rings? I'm not sure if i need them because my wheels are LOUD! I'm thinking it may be the tires if not the rings? They're 19x9.5/10.5 +22 with 255/35 and 285/30 on an 05 Coupe. Thanks! |
they should come with hubcentric rings. However, if u dont have them, or lost them like i did, u can get a set on ebay from discount tire. They sell metal ones which are better than the ones u get anyways and they're like 20 bucks. I'm not sure if thats the reason why they're loud tho... could be your tires.

Thanks for the comments guys! Better pics when i get some time....
Another question: Is driving without the rings gonna hurt anything? |

Great wheels! Not feeling the blue lug nuts though. I wouldn't even use blue lug nuts on my blue G. Congrats on the new wheels.

Cool... guess i'll be visiting F1 Motorsports in the next couple weeks. Just called them and they said they'd hook it up.
Thanks to everyone for the help! Good thing i still have my prelude to drive to work :) |
Yes you definately need the hub rings. I have the LE's of the same fitment as your TE's. The Toyo T1R's shouldn't be THAT loud. I hope it's not because of your wheels mounted "improperly" (i.e. w/o hub rings). Also, make sure you DON'T reverse the direction of the wheels/tires. Follow the arrows labelled on the tires in the direction of travel.

PLEASE make sure you put in your hub centric rings. Also, you may want to consider getting 275/35/19 in the rear, your current tire setup may throw off your VDC.
