Will 20" Axis Penta's look good without a drop?

I'm seriously considering purchasing a set of 20" staggered Axis Pentas, but the car is leased and I'm pretty sure that means I can't touch my suspension components. Any opinions or pics on how these wheels look on a coupe without a drop?

I think any 20's with no drop will not look good. It will make your coupe look suv-ish. You can just change out the springs and put the stock ones back when the lease is up.

it won't look bad per se, but it'll always be in the back of your mind whether it would look better if you lowered it. there's a thread somewhere that talks about this subject too...just search it out.

IMO, nope. No wheels look good without a drop...not even stock wheels. ;)

Calvin,

Couldn't agree more with you, unfortunately I'm not sure about lowering a leased car. Perhaps some of you guys in the same situation could persuade me :) Also, if I drop with springs, won't I more than likely need a camber kit to bring myself back into spec? In that event, it's even more stuff I'm worried about the dealership flagging if I ever need to bring the car in for service. Any input on this side topic welcome.

compared to what, coilovers? Doesn't matter how you go about getting a drop, its all going to affect camber in the same way

There are plenty of guys on the forums with a leased/modded car. Keep your stock parts so you can return everything back to stock when your lease is up. You can sell the aftermarket parts after that...

They shouldn't give you any trouble so long as the mods that you do don't cause you/them any trouble.

Bringing this back from the dead.

So does anyone actually have pictures of a stock G (no drop) with 20 inch Axis Pentas?

Would it really look that bad?

I hope they don't mind me using their pic, someone was selling pentas awhile back. These looks like stock springs, I could be wrong though :dunno: . Being lowered definitely looks better, but sometimes it's a pain for just an everyday commute.

^^ that does not look like it's on stock springs

Axis Pentas will never look good, regardless of your suspension setup. they do look better than most of the rest of their line, but don't do it!
