G37 19's on a 06 G35 Coupe

I need some help. I broght a brand new set of G37 19's off ebay for 1800 free shipping I might add. I called the deaker prior to buying them and they said they will fit. I tried to put them on this weekend and they do not fit. It appears the G35 hub is too big for the the 37 wheel's to mount. I hate to have to sell them. Is there anything I can do? I would greatly appreciate it.

they have a smaller center bore?!

I have to take a look at that... i havent looked at the center bore yet on the V36...

or are you not taking out that bolt that is on the front rotors?

Gdup35sedan Dec 3, 2007 01:42 AM

i highly, highly doubt they have a different center bore... Did you take off the bolt on the front rotors?

Yeah the center bore is considerably smaller.

If your talking about the bolt which prevents you from mixing up the front tires with the back no...I tried to put the back wheel on first.

Well, you are going to need a 20-25mm spacer at least for those wheels...

so you can get some spacers made with a smaller center bore on the wheel side of the spacer...

Spacers..... Okay I know what they are.. Are they safe? Will this void out my warranty from infinti?

CrazyRuskie Dec 3, 2007 02:05 AM

Spacers will not void your warranty.

Cool... I guess I will have to visit my local rim shop..How much do you estimate a job like that costing. My wife is gonna kill me if I have to spend more money to get these rims on....:)

currently, no spacers are manufactured that are HUB-CENTRIC (very important) with the larger bore of the G35 Coupe to be centric to the smaller bore wheels of the G37...

So they will have to be custom made...

Probably $240 for the spacers plus hub bolts which will be another $120... Not including installation which a shop will probably charge $200 front and rear...

Dont use non-hub-centric spacers... they are unsafe...

NON-HUB-CENTIRC Spacer... you are counting on the hub bolts holding the wheel in place...

HUB-CENTRIC Spacer... The hub-centric portion sticking out of the spacer center the wheel and also puts any stress on the wheel hub if impacted rather than the hub bolts... (SAFER)

Will the spacers make my wheels stick out? Thanks again guys for all your advice

Jason@Riverside Dec 3, 2007 02:45 AM

not if you get the correct size spacers...

if you put the wheels on without the spacers... you will be tucked under more than the factory wheels... they may even rub the inner spindle...

if you decide to sell them and want to buy oem 19's for the G coupe, let me know I have some with less than 3k on tires and rims that look brand new.

HenryLee Dec 3, 2007 04:34 AM

but people on my37.com put aftermarket g35 rims on a g37.. thats so weird.. but def you will need some spacers..
