Pirelli 210 Snowtires

Anybody with Pirelli 210 snowtires have a problem with droning on the highway at certain speeds? Mine get so bad sometimes it sounds like the music I'm listening to is screwed up. I turn off the CD and relize it's the car.

Nah i don't have that problem.

check your tire pressure. Dunno for sure if low tire press would cause this problem, but it just might.

Nope...no problems here. The only time I notice any noise with these tires is when I'm driving in the snow...you can hear the tires "biting" into the snow. I love these tires!!

No droning here in Detroit (i.e. beaucoup snow and horrible roads). Very pleased and recommend Pirelli 210 SnowSports 225/50/17 (fronts) & 235/50/17 (rears) maintained at 35psi.

I have them too (17's). They are louder then the stock Pilots especially on the highway, but expected as they are winter tires.

What PSI are you guys running?
I had set my to 30 when it was cold outside. I picked 30 because I thought that was the spec for the coupe with 17" wheels.

Re: Pirelli 210 Snowtires

This is what the guy at tirerack said.

If your car is rated for 35 PSI for the 18's (which the 6mt coupe is), then you need to KEEP 35 PSI for the 17's.

Even if the 5AT coupe with 17" rims is 30 PSI, still keep the original PSI's of your 6mt (if that's what you have)..

Re: Pirelli 210 Snowtires

Thats correct. Your not changing the amount of air the tire holds, just the shape of the air. The tire gets a bit narrower and a bit taller but holds the same amount of air.
