What Exactly Is The G35's Most Aggresive Offset For A Daily Driver?? What Will Tuck?

Any Input?

this will depend on your wheel & tire size. what sizes do you have? also, someone has started a similar thread which may help with your decision:

i had this same question a month ago when trying to decide on spacers. if you have some time, you can scan through the classified to see the wheels people are selling - they'll usually say whether the setup is flush or tucked (you can search for these keywords). take a look at their wheel size, tire size, & offset then compare it to your setup. you can also look through the 'check out my wheels' section assuming it still exists :dunno:

this page is helpful when comparing wheel sizes:

I'd say you can pull off a +10 all around with a 9.5 front and 11 back.

i wana do 19s or 20s with coilovers, but it seems like if you go THAT low with coilovers that u gotta do 19s. and ive never known anything about offsets and i dont wana go buy wheels and have them stick out to where i can go as low as i want.

what does the number in after the + mean? i know its mm but from what? thanks guys

bigc Mar 2, 2008 11:24 AM

that number is the offset

and what is the number "offsetting" from? from what i see, the lower the number, the bigger the lip? am i right?

thanks bigc, so like i said i think the lower the number even with a positive offset will be awesome and give the biggest lip?

waijai Mar 3, 2008 10:07 AM

low offset with wide wheels will give you a bigger lip -- 20x11 with +10 offset

high offset with narrow wheels will give you a smaller lip -- 20x8 with +40 offset

Tulsa Rev-Up Mar 3, 2008 11:51 AM

so a +25 offset on a set of 20x8.5 and 20x10 will give a staggered setup with a decent lip in front and a bigger lip in rear?

Predator Mar 3, 2008 12:54 PM

i've got a 20x10 in the rear with a +25 offset and my rear lip is huge, just under 5 inches.

if you intend to lower the car aggressively i strongly suggest that you do not go any lower than a +20 offset.

so if i wanted to go low as an ant with coilovers..i should go with 19s for better weight and lower center of gravity? with an offset higher than +20? so what exactly should i look for? im diggin Work SC1 wheels just so u guys know. what u think? and id get Sevas S55 if i got 20s. any input? thanks guys
