Should I Powdercoat my Stock Wheel's? HELP!
I just bought an 04 IP g35 coupe with brembo's, nav ect. I have BC racing coilovers on the way to my house. My original plan was to put on 20's and i had them ordered but canceled because i want to focus my time on a build that im hoping will put me in the 600rwhp range. So i decided to maybe powdercoat my stock wheels black chrome. or somewhere along those lines.
PLEASE POST w/ your suggestions and if anyone has pictures of their stock wheel's (18's) powdercoated that would be great.. |
i say go for it... Black Chrome would look great or even Metallic Gunmetal would look good on your IP... i have some pics of another members Metallic Gunmetal OEM 19's if you would like to see what that color looks like...

sure all pictures welcome :)!

painting/powercoating is about 500... If you have that kind of hp your going to want wider tires anyways lol.. i say save up for a set

I love how the GG looks on black cars. I had GG BBS wheels on my evo IX.

Yea wider tires are a must but my first priority is getting all the pieces to my build. Once i have everything i still will need to send certain things out to get swaintech white lightning coated ect.. so i will have time to save up for the wheels before everything arrives. |
powdercoating wheels alot less expensive then buyin aftermarket wheels and tires, powdercoated my chrome oem 19s to glossy black

Just save your money and put it towards a new set of wheels! I was also considering powdercoating my oem's, but opted to hold off and buy a set of 20's! Trust me, you wont even want to think about having factory wheels once you've switched!

@CruisnGcoupe
Hey let me know how much they are charging you. And how much wider are you going? Just the rears? I am thinking of doing the rears to 10.5" |
