350z H-Tech + OEM 19 Wheel Spacer Q's
 

Heya, I have OEM coupe 19s. I want to make it look a little more aggressive by putting some wheel spacers on. I also plan to have these spacers with non-springmounted 350z H-Tech springs. What size wheels spacers should I buy, and what brand? If it helps, I have not and do not want to roll my fenders. Will it make my G look lower if I push out my rims with the drop from the H-Techs?

Also, where is the cheapest place I can find these parts? :BOUNCE:

i say 15mm front/20mm rear... H&R Spacers

From what iv read the H-techs dont settle much in the rear so no need to roll...

now if you go 20/25 then id roll...

After much thought, I think I'm actually going to go with the springmount mod. :bowrofl:

And where can I find these spacers? So far, I haven't found any vendors in the marketplace and I'm pretty sure I've searched most of the forum sponsors for these things...

I am currently running the H-Tech w/ spring mount mod and D-specs (although your shock type does not matter).

I can tell with 100% certainty (and more than 40,000 miles) that you will have no issues with 15mm spacers front and 15mm spacers rear. This set up allows you to go as large as 275/35/19 in back and 245/35/19 in front with no rubbing.

Now for my opinion...

I think the 15mm spacer looks perfect. Go wider with caution, you will cheapen the look of your ride if you have skinny tires extending pasty the fender well.

that's my car with OEM 19's, 25mm spacers front and back, lowered on Tein S-Techs (For the 350z).

Just in case you were wondering what 25mm front AND back looks like.

i have no rubbing issues.

I can see what you mean by that cheap look. Have any pictures of your car to show me the drop/how flush your tires look with your fender?

Car looks good with the drop, chris. It's a bit comforting to know that you don't rub despite the fact that you lowered your car more than H-Techs would with those S-Techs and you used some pretty big spacers. From the pictures, I don't see any "cheap" look that ResIpsa was talking about.

Any others want to share their opinion? I'm just trying to gather as much information/opinions on this before I bite the bullet.

Yes definitely get the hubcentric ring. Project kics have built in studs opposed to extended ones. 15/20mm is being a little conservative and 20/25mm would be more flush. I've seen lots of pictures and it looks good with that setup (not cheap looking). Thats what I was going to do with z h-techs & springmount mod before I got new rims.

I have been looking at them for a while and wondering if they were for real since they are about half the price of retail.

Finally decided it was worth a shot and I was not disappointed. Excellent machining and hubcentric rings are included. Perfect fit, no margin for play. A 90mph run on the freeway after install and I am happy to say no vibration at all.

I went 20mm all around. I was going to go 20/25 but with the 350z s drop I was worried I would have to roll the rear fenders. I think I made the right call. no rub and it looks like it clears by only a couple millimeters.

Alright, I'll definitely do that then. Project Kics look like the wheel spacers I'm going to get, along with hubcentric rings. They're just "plug & play," right? As in I take off the wheels and slide on the spacers & rings? No hammering out of old studs and installation of new ones?
The only thing I'm unsure of is how big the spacers will be. I'm getting contradicting opinions here. haha. :D

20mm all around? That's what I was thinking. I think 15mm is a bit too conservative, and 25 might be too much. I think 20mm will be the right size. I just need pics to justify it! :icon17:

If i do the Kics 15mm(front/20mm(rear) S-tech springs, and SPC camber kit. Will i still be okay to Auto Cross? I don't want any problems when i race. Thanks in advance.
