Falken 452 or Kumho SPT ?

I'm torn between two tires. The size is 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. If i was in the 19s range, I would def get kumho MX but it's not available, so... It's beteween SPT and 452s.

SPT - full set $590 on tirerack and will cost about 20-40 to mount.
452 - full set $750 installed out the door

I've had kumho tires and loved them. had mx, ecsta supra 712 and loved them all. Never had falken 452 but i did have st-115s (or i forget the exact model) and they were okay too. I'm in socal so not much rain happening these days. I daily drive my car and never really track it. But i do want good traction and excellent tread life. Nitto 555 is my current set up they aren't bad but i wouldn't buy them at full price. I only buy 555s because they were cheap used tires.

Any suggestions?

I have SPT's and i think im gonna try the 452's as my next tire, the SPTs are pretty nice but after a few canyon runs and 7-8k miles they don't grip as well as they used to...

this is a great price on the 452's. Where are you getting these installed at?

There is a shop (626 area)close to where I live (LA 213 area) that is running this special. I think the price is good for awhile. Edgeracing has them for 720-740 shipped for these tires. I didn't think this deal was THAT great, it is a good price installed nonetheless.

So SPTs FTW since they are 100 or so dollars cheaper?

They post on craigslist all the time. It's KE tires formerly known as tirehook up, aka something else i forget. Check the LA area craigslist

I have the 452's and they are great. Noticed a difference immediately, just got 'em though so don't know about the longrun. I paid $300 for the fronts, and $400 for the rears (one of the rears was 10% used). Mine are also 275/35/19 which for some reason are more expensive than the 20" version??

I installed some 452s awhile ago am and surprised at how nice they are overall--handling, road feel, quiet, great in wet. The pice was very reasonable as well.
My next tire will be the Vredestein Sensata, which has gotten excellent review and they are in the price range of the 452 or maybe less.

Go with the Falkens. I wouldn't rock Nitto 555's if you gave them to me for free.

I have the 452's also. 245/35/20 front and 275/35/20 rear. I like everything about the tires from looks to performance in dry and wet weather. Only negative for me is the tread life seems kinda short.

What tires are you comparing the tread life to? I'm going to order either the Kumho's or the 452s this week. The Falkins are only $150 more for a set of 4 so essentially it is going to come down to tread wear and noise.

Picking up my new tires the first week of April. They are Falken FK452s. Picked them because of the reviews they ahve gotten from members on here and i can get a great deal on them.

Going to run 245/40/19 on all four of my coupe 19s.
