***Lowering a sedan with RS*R Springs???***
 

Due to my wheel offsets and tire width, I've decided not to use Eibachs to lower my car due to the risk of rubbing. However, I have heard that the RS*R springs can be used on the sedan and only lower the car 0.6". Does anyone know if the RS*R springs can be used on the sedan? Does anyone currently with RS*R springs know in actuality how much they lowered your car? Thanks for the help!

I don't know anything about the RSR's, but what leads you to believe that you will rub if you go lower than 1/2". Do you know the offsets of your wheels, and what are your tire sizes? I'm on 20's lowered with Eibach's and don't rub. My tires are also a bit taller than stock.

I replied to your pm, but so that other's can learn I'll post a reply here to.

The RSR springs you heard about are ment for the 350Z, in that application they do drop the Z .6" However, the Z and also the G35 coupe, come with oem springs that are 1" lower then what the sedan uses. So, they start out being 1" lower then the sedan. Any lowering spring ment for the 350Z or the G35 coupe will lower the sedan 1" PLUS the drop amount published for that spring. So, .RSR springs ment for the Z with a .6" drop, would drop the sedan 1.6". They are a fantastic spring, but 1.6" drop is a bit much for a lot of us.

I have 245/40 tires on 18x8.5" ADR M-Sport rims with a 35mm offset. Both my front and rear tires slightly stick out past the fender. I talked to a guy at Z Car Garage, and he said that I should be more concerned with the back since I have less of a gap back there. With your 20" wheels and offest, do your tires stick out past the fender? Do you have any close up pictures of your wheels and fenders that I can take a look at? Thanks.

My pics are in my profile. I think that rather high offset may be a potential problem. Recommended offset on the sedan is 45mm, and no more than 38 mm on an 8.5" wheel. My wheels are only 8" wide and a 42mm offset. I have no problems rubbing.

On your wheels it's a tough call... Can you take some close up pictures for us? Out of curiousity, who recommended such an agressive offset for your wheels? Hopefully not Wheelmax. Those guys aren't very savvy when it comes to determining correct offsets.
