Should I powdercoat my GT-7's?
 

I am considering having the barrel of my GT7's powder coated a dark gray or black. I am having issues with the clearcoat on 2 of my wheels and I know even if I redo the clearcoat..I will have the same problem in the future.

What do you guys think?

chrome the barrels, that would look tight

wouldnt that make them super heavy?

i don't think it will make them "super heavy" by dipping the barrels in chrome...but it will look alot better and shinier...also, far easier to clean and maintain...but whatever you end up with doing, it will def. look better than the dull lips

I like chrome lip, if not, then powdercoat them black...it will have a nice effect with the gunmetal center

i love those wheels had two sets. the only think i hated is the coat on the lips. i acutally did that and chromed the lip on my old set. it looks sick and easy to clean you could use a wet towel or even a dry one. the centers stayed gm like yours. i think you should do it. the added weight from the chrome is so minimal that you cannot tell when driving its just BLINGY as hell. good luck man keep us posted
