PS2's backed up for 5 month's!
 

I need new rear tires and I currently am running Michelin Pilot Sport Ps2's. I went to order new rears yesterday and 2 different places said that they are nationally backordered by 5 months!! :icon43: I really like this tire...I can'y imagine running PS2's in front and something else in rear.. ughh

Can you wait? Or maybe buy a pair of the cheapest tires you can find in the sizes you need, to use until then?

I'd continue checking with more places.

That's ridiculous. It's probably Michelin just holding back on supplies to increase demand, hence its high price :rolleyes:

I had the same problem, too. I called Michellin and the representative told me that as far as he knew, PS2s weren't going to be made in the next 4 weeks (beyond that, he had no idea at all what was going to happen). I called a second time later on, and I was told that since these sizes (stock OEM 19" sized tires) are barely used, Michellin doesn't make too much of them.
I run OEM 19"s, and my stock Bridgestones were entirely bald.
Discounted Tire Center in Cali got me the Pilot Sport PS2 fronts, but got me 255/35/19 for the rear... which, when you do the math, is actually smaller (when measured from center of wheel to tread) than the front 225/40/19... I called other shops to see if they could get me the stock sized 245/40/19 and Discount Tire found the tires somewhere in Texas. I'll have the correctly sized tires within a week, just need to keep the ones I have on my car right now undamaged.
