20's or 19's?

I have a G35 coupe now with 19" Maido GR5's. I am getting another coupe and will be putting Maidos on it as well, probably RT5's. I have lowered my current coupe and will be lowering the new one also. I have been told to stay with 19's because the rider will get rougher and with 20's you are more prone to bend a rim because the sidewall is smaller. Any opinions?

20s will use the same aspect ratio as most 19" applications. My tire sizes are 245/35-20 & 275/35-20, which are the sizes that most people running 19's use.

my vote is for the 19"s unless the roads in your town are great.

With 20"s and 35 series tires, you'll be running tires that are much bigger in diameter and circumference. This will not affect VDC but it will affect acceleration performance because you'll be effectively lowering the final drive ratio.

Thanks for the feedback. I am leaning to the 19's because I don't want to risk bending a rim and lowering the car roughens the ride.
