9.5+ wide wheels that match OEM 19's
 

I have a 2005 coupe with OEM 19's, and I really like the look of these wheels, but I would like to get a little more width for the rear. So I'm wondering if there are any 9.5 inch and wider wheels that at least closely match these. I would move the factory 8.5 in wheels to the front to fit a 245 tire and I would like to fit 275's in the back. I know there are much better looking wheels out there and this is somewhat of a cheapskate thing to do but being fresh out of college and just bought my first house I really don't have the budget to spend $2k+ on a whole new set of wheels.

Are you going for looks or performance? If looks, then just get spacers (15mm front, 20mm rear).

And no matter how "close" a wheel matches the factory ones, it'll always look retarded having two different pairs of wheels. Just look around the marketplace for a good used set.

Looks mainly right now, it is a stock 5at so I'm not really dealing with traction issues...I am planning on going S/C or turbo with other mods in August or so, but by then I will be able to afford a new set of wheels and full suspension. I'm just trying to boost the looks a little right now until I can drop some money. The spacers are a good idea but will having a wider stance with factory size tires look right? I mean you can squeeze 275's on an 8.5 wheel but they don't look any wider so that would be pointless. Do you know offhand of any pics with this setup? And do you know of a good online store where I can check out the spacers...preferably hubcentric

do a search on spacers for oem 19s. im personally going to go with 25mm all around on mine. lots of threads out there discussing sizes and also many with pictures of setups.

if you with the spacers it will only appear to be wider from the side but not from the rear,

I liked my OEM 19's too. They are great looking wheels for OEM's. But why would you want aftermarket wheels to look like the OEM's? :dunno:

There is always the Tenzo DC-5 which is close if you want to keep the similar look, but I suggest, like others, to go with four of the same wheels

Theres another I used to always see on ebay, but I couldn't find it, but it looked just like the OEM wheels but wider with a polished lip if I recall correctly.

Having just bought the car cash money, and a house...fresh out of college mind you, I don't really have the cabbage to dish out for a whole new set of wheels/tires. Like I said, I will be able to afford several new mods in august or so...I just want something to look a little better than factory for right now.

EDIT: Actually, I just checked out my tax refund...nice surprise there!! Looks like I'm getting a set of 20' MMR GT1's in either hyper sliver or black. Thanks for all the responses guys

Only decent looking wheels I can afford right now...I will be installing Mercury Silver Volk GTS's when I get back from basic training. Why wouldn't you recommend them? I mean I think they look fine for under $1500...are they too heavy? Shake at high speeds? If there are any better wheels for $1500 and under I will gladly take a look.

i wouldnt say they are bad as in risky, i would just say save your money rock the stockies and get some that cost more but are also reflected in how they look, in you know what i mean? or look around the marketplace there are INCREDIBLE deals, if i had 1500 I would definitely look there cus theres always good deals
