Looks nice. I'm guessing the powder coating is pretty tough, yes?

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

better than a paint I suppose being a magnatized powder thats baked on. It's the first thing I've ever had done so I guess we'll see ??
Side note, Big lip looks awesome but a constant, daily, sometimes two cleanings are needed to keep them standing tall .

data systems/illusions wing, I like it because it's a little smaller than oem.

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

I'm seriously considering powdercoating my BBS's in glossy black. How much was it per wheel & did you have to prep or take apart the wheels before you gave them to the powdercoater?

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

I paid 325.00 for all four including the center caps and prep. Luckily the J8's have a small spacing between the spokes and the rim so there was no need to take them apart. I also had him powdercoat the inside of the rim eliminating having to pull the wheels or reach in to clean it.

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

Did you also powder coat your amber corner lights? I've never seen the darker plastic before.

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

The corners are covered with the same perforated vinyl I used on the headlights. It looks black except when used then the orange comes through. If I had used the spray tint over them they would essentially be useless except maybe at night, so I think it's the best of both worlds, at least for me.
Powdercoating by the way is only used on metal pieces because of the baking process, anything other would melt.

Re: powdercoated J8's pics

here's a pic in the garage, I don't have a daylight up close photo to show the perforation but can take one if wanted.
