Tire sizing for OEM 18's
 

Hi all,
Just had a quick question. If i have OEM 18's, would it be alright to use the following tire sizes?

235/40/18
265/35/18


I know stock uses 225/45 and 245/45, so it'll be slightly wider in the front and more wide in the rear, would this be okay?

I'm getting coupe 18's and will be running 245/45's all the way around... Gives you just a tad bit more meat.

im looking to replace tires and was looking to run the same set up. how has this worked for you?

I ended up going with the 235/45/18 instead after doing more research and forum searching. Just seemed like a better fit with the least chance for rub since I'm lowered on Z/G springs. Glad I went with that size for sure.

what did u go on with on the rear? im stock with brembo calipers. so i was looking to see what was the widest width i could with in the front AND rear with the OEM 18". on another post, someone said they wouldnt go wider than 245 which i agree since its only 18x8.

im also trying to find a post on which brand tire to with with these 18s. im not planning to go aftermarket on anything. i just want max tire life without messing with the suspension..

I didn't want a staggered setup so I could rotate and just decided that 235's were a better fit for my preferences. From everything I've read the 245's will work. I searched the forums for weeks looking at the differences and the way it looked with being lowered, not lowered, slammed, etc... You're down to personal preference at this point.

If you aren't lowered then you should have to worry about any uneven tire wear. Tire choices run the gamut for the coupe 18's. I went with Falkens but I don't think I'd by them again. I'm getting SPC front camber arms installed tomorrow to deal with the uneven tire wear I'm getting in the front from being lowered.
