Tire Size for 2004 G35 Sedan with 19x8's
Yep, another damn tire size thread . . . although i've been reading through the archives all day finding all kinds of good info.
Anyways, i've found lots of info regarding tire sizes for the coupe and wheel sizes, but not much as far as the sedan goes. I have (4) 19x8" rims (40 offset) which i'm putting on my 2004 Sedan. Anyone know what the best tire size for this arrangement would be? Seems like the 245/35/19's have been popping up a lot in older posts, but not sure if that would be a good size for a 19x8" wheel all around. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks! Dan |
First of all, Dan, good on you for reading up before asking!
245/35s are fine for an 8" wheel. Maybe some of our tire experts will chime in, but that's a place to start. I like to use 1010tire's calculator to compare widths/diameters/availability etc: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp |
The 245/35 will fit the wheel fine but a tad shorter than normal. We typically out fit them with 245/40-19.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, i was thinking that too (regarding the 245/40/19). I was figuring if i lowered the car a bit, it would take up that space assuming i got the 245/35/19s. Then again, looking at the photos of the 35's, that is a really low profile tire. Thanks again for the info. Been spending the last few days reading all this great info in the FAQ's and past posts, however, because there is so much of it, sometimes its tough to get a "definitive" answer, if one even exists! |
