Putting All-Season's on Stock 18's?

What are the possible tire sizes to go onto the 18" wheels? I'm trying to figure out where is the best place to get some A/S's. So far it seems TireRack is the best bet.

Does anyone have any experience with A/S's on them and how do you like them?

Thanks.

Those seem to be rated one of the worse on TireRack. I was looking at the Pirelli PZero's which seemed to be decent value and rated high in treadwear which is important. Any comments?

I'm glad to hear see conversations like this. I too am looking at a winter setup and am caught between Blizzack LM-22's and a set of good A/S tires. I am most likely going to purchase a set of decent wheels to mount the tires on.

I am looking at Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S's right now. They are rated high across the board on tirerack. Anyone have any feedback on this tire? I am looking at something in the 18" range. Thx

Yeah I am looking at those same tires. I have relied on TireRack reviews in the past and have been satisfied. They are usually on point and accurate. Where are you located? If you do get a heavy amount of snow I would consider possibly winter tires alone. I don't get a lot of snow around me so I think the A/S would work well in 2-3 inches of snow - especially ones with a high snow traction rating.

Re: Putting All-Season's on Stock 18's?

I am in New York City so I do see some snowy weather but for the most part the roads are plowed and I rarely see over 2" of actual snow on the road surface.

My winter setup right now looks like a set of 18" HP Racing rims along with the P Zero Nero M+S. Now I have to figure out what size wheel to get (width and offset). I am really worried about the offset issue. The set I am looking at now are 18x8 and 18x9 with a 38mm offset. Anyone know how this will look?

I searched and could not find that really good link in someones post about the impact of offset. Thx.

I got Continental Extreme Contacts (235x40 front, 245x45 rear). They have a very good A/S rating. Now I'm just waiting for the snow to see how they work.

Do you have those on the Stock 18's or other sets of wheels? I'm looking for the stock 18 sizes. Thanks.

Stock 18". Nobody makes an A/S 225X45 for the front. If you want stock sizes, then you have to go with Blizzak Winter tires.
