is 20's too big for speed?
so i was wondering if you going for power and speed, is 20's rims too big for it? or it just fine? let me know thanks guys
I think 20's are too big. 18's are optimal for performance (acceleration/handling), but I think 19's are the best compromise on G/Z'S for show and performance.

^^ +1 on 19's being the best choice for both looks and function.
but if i get a 20's does it effect my car or is it harm the car in anyways?
harm? no. it MIGHT slow you down depending on which rims you get and how much they weigh. but if you are going to be super picky about it then you might as well get some 16 inch drag lights
oh im was thinking about getting this one http://www.axiswheels.com/view-wheel/axis-pentagon
so is it ok? give me some comment guys thanks |

But if you get the correct profile tires, it won't change the OD at all. All it is is a battle of weight.
In a 20", those Pentagons are 30 lbs. Yeah, they are gonna slow you down compared to, say OEM 19" Rays at 19/21 lbs.

I have 20" Axis Shine. Didn't slow me down really. Nothing a person or a butt dyno can see. And they sexy :D
^ you just didn't notice it.
I went from Axis Matrix wheels (19x8 and 19x9.5) that were roughly 26-28lbs each to my Weds (19x9 and 19x10) that are less than 22lbs each and it was significantly noticeable off the line. |
For the winter I switched back to my stocks with winter tires and back again and never noticed. Granted I may have just not noticed it. But if there was a diff I'd expect it to be like putting the AC on, thats a huge load...haha
