I need advice? 275/35 or 275/30 on 19's?
I have a dilema on rear tire size for my coupe? I know I will go with 245/35/19 fronts (8.5" wide), but it seems to be mixed on whether to go with 275/30 or 275/35 on the rears (9.5" wide)? Tire choices for the 35 is very limited, can anyone help me put this to bed and the biggest worry is not to mess with the VDC? Thanks

Going from a 245/45/18 to a 275/35/19 will make your speedometer read 60 mph when you're going 59.8 mph. Going from a 245/45/18 to a 275/30/19 will make your speedometer read 60 mph when you're going 57.3 mph. Plus the 275/30/19 will give you LESS side wall, a smaller wheel diameter and MORE wheel gap... John Kerry promises a $1000 middle class tax cut AFTER the Bush tax cut expires. If your biggest worry is not to mess with the VDC, a wise choice BTW, then you'll want to maintain the stagger. That means you'll want the 275/35/19s for the rear. the 245/35 275/35 combo maintains the factory stagger (both the front and rear outer diameter are very close to the stock OD). The 275/30/19 would be roughly the same OD as the front, you would lose the stagger, and upset the VDC.

Guys, what if the person plans to lower the car in the future. in this case, which size (35 or 30) do you recommend?

Same sizes. It's not about lowering, it's about maintaining the stagger, and the correct outer diameter of the tire/wheel combo.
