All Season Tire Opinion Question

Hey guys!

Just had a question. I was wondering what are good all season tires to use for my 05 G35 Coupe NA version. Right now I am looking for rear tires which is 235-50-R17. I live in NJ so I need something with good tread depth and can handle the snow and rains good. I was looking at the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S Pole Position, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, Continental ExtremeContact DWS, and Goodyear Eagle F1. I was reading on the tires all over the net and reviews, but each car is designed differently. I was wondering what G35 coupes handle well with. Thanks!

My friend who has an 08 M3 swears by the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. We live in MD so we get a bunch of snow too and uses his car year round. I know it's not a G35 but just wanted to let you know.

I hear people raving about the DWS's myself. I may be buying some for my front tires as I'm about to make the switch from summer tires to all seasons.

Only really negative thing I've heard about those is that the steering response is a lot slower and softer as opposed to summer tires (then there's the general sacrifice of performance).

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (Ultra High Performance All-Season 225/40R18 92Y)

* Winter Conclusion: Provides respectable snow performance, but can't match the best in class.

I have the extremecontact DWS on my car. Already used them in the snow. Def work well, but my g35 is AWD, so slightly different comParision

I just got the dws and I live in Newark nj. I drove to work in maplewood today and let me tell you, these tires did VERY well. I DID get stuck one, but it was a pretty steep hill and slippery as fock. (lyons ave) When I went out to see how I would get free, I almost busted my *** when I took my first step on the road.

I then was in a lot of stop and go traffic (springfield ave) and made it up ok. I got stuck once from a stop, but turned the traction control off, rocked the car twice and got going with no problem. This was from springfield and Lyons ave to Springfield and boyden ave.

I was also on some side streets and got through as long as I had the vdc off. Mind you, these streets were a MESS! Looks like they plowed once in the middle of the night and left the last foot of snow to melt on it's own. I saw a minivan, conversion van, town car, corsica, Taurus, civic and some other cars all getting stuck and needing ppl to help push them out and up the hill.

Some of the roads were flat and covered with snow and I had no problems also.

The tires are pretty much brand new, but if they keep performing like this for another 2 to 3 season, I would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

Overall have had the best luck with the DWS. Been a great performer thus far and comes in at a good price.
