Don't buy Tire Rack road hazard protection
In fact....don't buy from Tire Rack. I bought the road hazard warranty for my new Tire Rack tires. I picked up a screw in my right rear tire and had it fixed for $20 by one of their approved tire shops. I filed the claim and was reimbursed 8 bucks. What a rip! The warranty is $50. Don't waste your time or money at Tire Rack.

With little to no info on your situation your post is worthless.
There are details to every situation that will validate the end result or be proof that there was a fault on someones part. Congrats on posting a portion of it...now post all the details. |
Pretty straightforward really. Not many other details. I bought a set of 4 Sumitomo tires with warranty at Tire Rack just a couple months ago. I picked up a screw in one and drove to the same Tread Quarters where I had the tires installed. TQ price list posted indicated Flat Repair $19.95. I had it fixed, paid the bill and sent the invoice to Tire Rack in accordance with their web posted policy. A company called Sonsio Management Co. sent me a check for $8. Tire Rack Road Hazard insurance is your classic rip off. Plain and simple. I doubt a reputable tire shop would even tighten your lugs nuts for 8 bucks. Apparently Tire Rack feels the road hazard protection should cover only the cost of the rubber patch or plug. Removing the wheel and tire is not included. The letter and check from Sonsio conveniently does not include any names or telephone numbers to bitch. Though in bold letters we find the following:
Our Standard is That You Are Absolutely, Positively, Wowed By The Experience Yeah I totally Wowed! Never to go back to Tire Rack. I almost bought my new tires at Costco. Big mistake. |
