GT-30's - NOT something you want to take apart!!!

Posted this up on myg37.com because I'm more active on there, but anyways, to keep the long story short, I had my Volk GT-30 Phantoms powdercoated. The guy that had them done mis-placed the faces of the wheels and exhcanged the front face for the back and vice versa which made the offsets fcuked up. When I finally figured out what was wrong, my dad and I immediately "attempted" to replace the faces.

The first attempt at it, we got around 4 bolts on and the 5th one... broke. So now, I'm SEARCHING endlessly for these damn bolts!! The thread pattern is M7 x 1.0 (I think). I REALLY need some advice.

If ANY of you have any spare bolts or know of any good aftermarket shops, I'll contact them ASAP. I'm from NJ, so even if your from Cali and know a good tuner/aftermarket shop, give me the name and I'll call them up!! I'm so desperate right now to find the bolts I need so I can drive my car again. I'll need around 10, (Although I only need 1, I'm preparing for the worse in case other bolts are broken)

Here's some pictures of the wheel's faces off ~~~

Shops in Philly, rather avoid them considering they DID mess up lol, if I do get the bolts, I'm going to take it to a shop and not fcuk around with them.

You need an Allenwrench for these fasteners

I may have extra ones, you do not need alen wrenches, they can be be tightened from inside with a 10mm .

contact forged performance. Those guys are one of the biggest volk dealers around and will probably know where to get something like that.

driver1712 Mar 29, 2011 01:24 AM

first of all, how did you break the bolt?
i've taken volk faces off before and i had no problems...
make sure when put the bolts back on, you do it criss-cross. hand tighten all of em before tightening em with any tools.

Assuming you didn't cross tourque these and try to do them in one run.

The reason Volk Modular wheels suck, even though they're modular you can't use them like they are.

I am willing to bet that a legit hardware store would match them and with a higher grade bolt.

I went to some hardware stores and they weren't able to come up with anything.. :/ .. It needs titanium finish and M7 x 1.0 thread type.

Are you going to big box stores? (home depot/lowes)

You need to go to a nut and bolt supply, these are not a common bolt.
