Blizzak LM 22 on stock 18's - Tire Pressure

Hey guys, as the title suggests I have a set of the Blizzak LM22 18's on and they have been wonderful until this moring.

My tire pressure monitor indicator came on this morning (coldest day in Toronto so far this year...not sure if that has something to do with it). Anyways, I did a kick check of all the tires and they seem fine.

My question is what would you recommend as the tire pressure in these tires? It says on the tire max is 51 psi but that sounds a bit high to me...I was thinking they would be more behaved at around 45/46 but I'm not sure.

Any thoughts on the tire pressure? Or could my sensor just be broken?

No... temperature plays a huge part. I have the same setup as you, sans the pressure monitor and keep mine at 35psi the whole time.

35 psi is optimal. you can actually run a bit higher no more than 42psi. i'd just keep it at 35 though.

I run it at 34 front and 33 in the rear... when i was running at hight psi the cornering sucks... and it was so cold today 19F the tire pressure warning came on as well...gonna recheck tomorrow but i suggest go lower on tire pressure better handling

is there a standard psi that if goes under triggers the warning light to come on? say 28 psi or under? something like that?

Someone can jump in here if I'm wrong......

But I believe that it compares all 4 & looks at the difference
rather than a specific threshold value.
