Will these 18's fit?

OK, I might buy some new rims, and this was the setup I was going with, just wondering if anyone knows if this will work out w/o rubbing etc.

Front: 18x8.5 +24, 245/40
Rear: 18x9.5 +25, 275/40

Not sure what I'm gonna drop it on yet, have to measure the wheel gap after I get them. Any thoughts?

Those will work no problem. You can go a little more aggressive on the backs probably. Mine are F:18x8.5"/+25mm and R:18x9.5/+20mm, and they are nice and flush. I don't have brembos but I have plenty of clearance between my calipers and the spokes. I don't know what rims you are looking at, but when I got mine, I was going to go with +25mm offsets all around, but the store told me if I got the back rims with the same offset (+25mm) as the fronts, the lip would not be bigger than the fronts, despite being a wider rim.

You'll be fine. BTW, I would not be more aggressive with the rear offset. The Nismo rear is also a 9.5" wheel and is +30mm, which I think is just about perfect.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. One last question about lug nuts, ours are M12x1.5?

avs007 Jan 16, 2005 08:22 PM

I guess it really depends on the rim, as to which offsets are optimum, because +20mm is the published recommended wheel fitment for my Work Meisters. Just ask the place selling the rims. I've seen the recommended fitments being anything from +20 up to +35, depending on the wheel.

As for the lugs, M12x1.5 is not the correct size. Our lugs are M12x1.25. I had to buy the spline drive tuner lugs and locks, because my old locks and socket didn't fit the lug openings of my new rims.

Cool, I'm gonna get Spline Drive lugs too. So M12x1.25 is the size, thanks a lot!

My friend has the same rims/tires/offsets I want on his 350Z, so thats where I got them from. If they work on his car, they should work on mine too, right?

Yeah, M12x1.25. I double checked with the box my lugs/locks came in. And yes, if the rims fit the Z, it'll fit your G :D

Thanks guys, I'll be posting pics when I get them ;)
