Hey guys! Please, don't beat up the noob here! Iv'e searched the forum already. I need new tires because I'm running on bald tires.

I need suggestions on some new tires that will last longer than the current setup. Maybe, bigger? wider? I'm tired of spending 1k on tires that don't last me a year. Money is really tight for me these days with kids milking every last penny.

I have a D.D. 04 G35 coupe with brembos. I'm currently lowered with a setup of 245/35 R19 and 275/35 R19 with spacer. Which I'll be getting rid of soon. Is there anything bigger than this setup?

I think the bigger issue is why your tires aren't lasting you a year. Sounds like more of an alignment issue than a tire issue.

Yeah, I think alignment is one of the biggest problem for my tires. Every time I switch out the old tires, I noticed most of the damage happens with inner tire wear. When I lowered the G, I bought cambers for the front and rear to help alleviate the wear.

Is there any bigger size tires that will last longer? Even with adding mileage. I'm thinking about going back to OEM.

Going wider won't make the tires last longer. Get an alignment and make sure your toe specs are in check. It just sounds like you have a bad alignment.

Try Continental DWS Extreme Contacts, they're rated for 50,000 miles. I used to go through soft tires every 10 months to a year, like Yokohamas,Kumho Ecstas and Dunlop Direzzas. I've had the Conti's on for 3 years now and 30k on them and still going strong. They cost about the same as other tires, about $1k. What tires are you running now?

Since your worried about the cost, going wider wouldn't make sense. Go with a harder compound tire and fix your alignment.

When buying tires check the UTQG rating...the lower the number the softer the compound = more grip shorter tread life. ....the higher the number the harder the compound = not as much grip but longer tread life. If your G is a daily driver, you won't need super sticky tires. All weather tires should do you just fine.

Get your alignment dialed in and as long as you're not slammed then tires should last you a good while.

If your tires still have tread, flip them to the opposite side of the car and get that alignment.
