These 19" Tenzo R Type M's a good deal? or keep 18"s or stick with Ray 19"s?
Hi all, I recently got an 04 DG 6MT Coupe and have been looking for some wheels and tires to upgrade. While I preferred something with a lip or the Tenzo's in titanium/machined finish, I found a set of Matte Black 19" Tenzo R Type M's for $900 with tires. (could look like this: https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...picture-33.jpg) http://norfolk.craigslist.org/pts/3718527466.html
My car currently looks like this: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...ps4bd65c3d.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...pse9d4e5e8.jpg My set has some scuffed front wheels and tread all around is about 40-50%. The guy says his set is in great condition and he wants $500 on top of mine. From seeing other online posts I thought my set might be worth $400-600 so it could be a good deal, maybe even too good?, or am I wrong? I'm very new to the G/350Z world so if my price is unrealistic or if the Tenzo's I should stay away from, please let me know. I look forward to being active in the community and on the forum. |
Not feelin black wheels..Go with the 19inch Rays or another set with a lip and in a lighter color..P.S...Lower it first..

Well I went ahead and did the trade before any of the replies. Pics:

Overall pretty happy with them, though they are a bit heavy and it's felt, though not terrible. They look way more flush and wide and bring out the Brembos for sure. Idk if I'll consider dropping the car. The roads are pretty terrible where I live and it's just not my thing. |
You definitely look lowered?! Def in the second pic but first looks totally different

looks good, the tenzos have a nice concaveness to them, a few dark accents here and there and the ride will be looking better.

Just an update, did a couple things over the past 4 months. Z tube, headlight accents, tint, darker side markers, new Hankook v12's, and 14k miles lol. Still not lowering it, but I am feeling like a jump to lighter Ray 19's is in my future. I think I'll need spacers to have them more flush though. Updated pic:

Rays will be very nice if you are into those. I would recommend 25/30 f/r spacers for them to be nice and flush. May need to roll your rear fenders
|
So, I see that you haven't lowered it yet. Do that.
|
Lol no. You should see the roads near my work or where I usually travel, I've scraped a couple times even at my height. Also, car in pic is on a slight incline.

I agree it would look better, but I rarely see any performance or enthusiast cars around the port of Baltimore which I go to every day, or on the dirt roads in Va that I go to every other weekend. I also doubt they travel 30k+ miles a year like me. Just different strokes for different folks.
